Grow Song of The Evertree Wiki
View up through the branches of the Evertree from a World

The Evertree is the source of Myora and, thus, the source of all life in the Cosmos in Grow: Song of the Evertree. The Ancients took the sound of their voices, placing it in the heart of the Evertree, where it became the Song of Myora. This Song can create life, and those who can hear it can use it to shape and create nearly anything from Myora, using a process known as Alchemy. The Evertree takes the form of an immense, many-branched tree rooted on a disc of rock, earth and water that was once home to a magnificent city known as Alaria.

In the game, the Apprentice, the last of the Evertree Alchemists, must restore the Evertree's health by pushing back The Withering, both on Alaria and on each new World the Apprentice will plant from a World Seed in the the Seed Planters which sprout from the Evertree's branches.

    Seed Planter

A Seed Planter is a structure on some branches of the Evertree into which a World Seed the Apprentice has created through Alchemy can be planted. The Apprentice must first clear enough of the Withering for a new Seed Planter to grow from a branch of the Evertree. Once that World has been nurtured and the Apprentice continues to push back the Withering, more Seed Planters will sprout, up to a maximum total of seventeen.

A World from which the Withering has been cleared and to whose Seed the Apprentice has sung is said to be fully Bloomed. Prior to PC Update 1, only fully-Bloomed Worlds and Strange Worlds could be Released to make way for another World Seed to be planted in their Seed Planters, but this has been changed to allow a World in any state to be Released. To Release a World, the Apprentice must approach its World Seed and select the Release option notated at the lower right corner of the screen, then confirm they wish to set the World free into the Cosmos never to return. The Release option will not appear if the Apprentice is holding a Tool -- specifically, their Bug Net, Fishing Rod, or Watering Can.

Seed Planters display icons indicating what state they are in:

    - Ready to plant a World Seed.
    - A World Seed has been planted.
    - This World is complete and ready to be released into the Cosmos.

Additionally, other icons can appear next to the Seed Planter's icon, indicating what the world needs right now:

    - This World is ready to be tended to, there are still chores remaining for the day.
    - This World is almost complete, and just needs to be sung to.
    - This World has space for an Everkid to help collect Resources.
    - The Everkids on this World have collected enough Resources for the Apprentice to pick up.
