Grow Song of The Evertree Wiki

Everkin are one of the many species of creatures in Grow: Song of the Evertree. They are an aloof tribe of mysterious elder-beings; the oldest of the Younglings, the first tribe to be sung into existence by the Evertree, and so they were named after it.

    About

They somewhat resemble humanoid goats, with small legs and feet, fur all over their entire bodies, horns and large, fluffy tails. Young Everkin, called Everkids, are about half the size of the adults. Most Everkin are found in their homeland, a moving pocket dimension called Where-Ever, but a few venture outside to build, trade, and play with the Apprentice.

Everkin are smaller than other Youngling tribes (and, in fact, call all other tribes "Biglings"), but they possess powerful magic and uncanny construction skills. They are able to teleport at will, which allows them to build things quickly and to get to places others cannot easily reach. Everkids, especially, love to cause mischief and can be found all over Alaria and even on newly created World Seeds.

Everkin were once great friends with the Aerum, and they would visit the Tree-Tenders (their term for the Aerum) often, but the call of Alchemy was strong, and the Aerum and Everkin lost touch with one another. After moving their home, Where-Ever, to a place safe from The Withering, the Everkin were not seen again until the Apprentice woke the Evertree once more. As the keepers of the Evertree's heart, the Everkin could hear the Tree's whispers, and heard it's joy at the return of one of the Children of the Song. After meeting the Apprentice, the Everkin are more than happy to get to work clearing rubble, rebuilding Towns and helping restore the Evertree. Once the Apprentice has found an Everkid in their multi-dimensional game of hide-and-seek, they can be put to work as caretakers for Nature Reserves and completed World Seeds, where they will help gather a Chest full of resources every three days.

Amongst the dozens of Everkin the Apprentice might encounter, there are but a few who are named and have unique dialogue, Quests, or may even trade specific items with the Apprentice for EverKoin, the currency of the Everkin.

    List of Everkin in Where-Ever

    • Bumpkin - Found standing atop a roll of hay in a field full of similar rolls and also standing Fodder grass. Asks the Apprentice to harvest some fodder. Later on, will purchase Fodder, Flowers, Weeds, and even (after PC Update 1) Shrub and Tree Town decoration plots.
    • Catcherkin - Found in the middle of a fruit orchard. Asks the Apprentice to capture an Insect for them and explains the basics of bug-catching. Later on, will purchase Insects from the Apprentice.

    Outside of Where-Ever

The following Everkin can be found outside of Where-Ever:

    • Builderkin - Found wherever things are being built or need to be built. Could be one, could be dozens of them, who knows?
    • Everkids - hidden all over Alaria and Worlds created by the Apprentice. They'll appear at Nature Reserves and on completed Worlds where they've been recruited.
    • Kinderkin - at Nature Reserves and the Seed Planter of completed Worlds.
    • Traderkin - randomly appearing each day on certain Worlds where a trading shop appears.

    Everkin Doors

Everkin are masters of construction, able to create huge buildings in an incredibly short period. Their mastery of teleportation also allows them to create special portals, called Everkin Doors that allow the Apprentice to quickly move between any District and even the Everheart Alchemist House itself!
