A Strange World Seed can be created randomly from any World Seed recipe (including Perfect Seed recipes), and should appear about 10% of the time. A special notification is given when creating a Strange World Seed.
Strange Worlds are unlike any other Worlds, as they generally have no flora (Flowers, Grass, Shrubs or Trees) or fauna, although they might have Insects and the occasional Rock. Most Strange Seeds have one or more reward Chests, but few have anything more than that. Strange Worlds can also be identified by the icon above the World name as it appears on the Evertree Map (and displayed to the right).
Once the reward has been collected from a Strange World, there is nothing else that can be done with it (even though the map icon indicates there is work to be done), so the Seed can safely be released. Approach the Seed with no items in hand, and the prompt should allow the Apprentice to release the Seed.

- In the code, Strange Seeds are referred to as "Mutant Seeds". The achievement calls them "Accident Seeds", but everywhere else they are called "Strange Seeds."
