World Seeds are created by the Apprentice using Alchemy, combining Essences to create unique recipes. A total of 50 essence (with a minimum 3 different types and maximum of 5 different types) must be expended in order to create a new world seed.
Once a World Seed has been created, it can then be planted in the branches of the Evertree where it will grow into a small World, which the Apprentice must tend and grow until it is ready to be released to wander the Cosmos. Certain recipes are known to create a Perfect Seed, these recipes can be found on Alchemy Tables throughout Alaria.
There is also a random chance when creating any World Seed (including perfect seeds) that a Strange Seed will instead result, creating a unique, but limited world to explore. This outcome, however, is purely random (roughly 10% chance) and there is no trick to increasing the chance of getting a Strange Seed.
The appearance of the seed itself is semi-randomized and does not necessarily reflect how a World grown from it will look.
