Lykora

Lykora, also known as Sky Maiden, is a mysterious, whale-like, rainbow-colored being who floats around Alaria and the Evertree. Lykora is enormous in comparison to the Apprentice and other Younglings, and sometimes vocalizes a loud, eerie, but wordless song when passing by the Apprentice, particularly when the Apprentice is tending a World.

Lykora can often be seen while riding Kazumi to view the world map, as well as from some Worlds. Lykora's design is reminiscent of both a whale and dragons seen in East Asian mythology.

Lykora and her children Lykora is a very old creature. She is known as guardian to Alaria and a keeper of peace in the skies and can be seen flying around the Evertree. Hundreds of years ago she gave birth to several children who have remained asleep due to the effects of The Withering, but will awaken once their place of rest is cleared of influence.

**HIDDEN LOCATIONS**
Mother's Embrace is a Cave near the Island Locale's Nature Reserve. When the Apprentice explores the Cave's deepest point, an Everkin appears and explains that the Cave houses the sleeping children of Lykora. The children were originally sleeping to gain energy, but due to The Withering they were unable to awaken. Two of the Lykora Children as seen from an empty Seed Planter Leaving the cave triggers a cutscene during which the offspring Lykora wake up and join their mother in the sky. Once this cutscene is triggered, the four offspring are visible in the sky along with their mother afterward.
