The Small House is one of many Buildings that can be placed in any Town. It is a residence that can hold up to two Residents, but only one slot is unlocked at first. It is among the first buildings available to be constructed, and the first that must be built during the tutorial.
The Small House can be customised in a number of ways. The roof, walls and skirting can each be painted with various Wallpapers. In the second screenshot in the infobox, the roof is blue, the walls are red and the skirting is green. Up to two Flower Boxes can be added, as well as a Mailbox and Pet House. Additionally, there are three Token slots to fill.
The cost of building the Small House starts at 180 
in the Meadow Quarters, but goes up from there according to the following table:
