A Lucky Box is a prize machine-type arcade game that can be found as a random drop from Chests or other Lucky Boxes. The Apprentice can collect and place these machines in front of any General Store, whether or not it is staffed, and play each one once per day. It costs one Ancient Coin to play, either Signa or Firus, depending on the box - see the table below. The rewards can range from Keys and Alchemical Batteries to Clothing or Hair items, and even more Lucky Boxes. There are also three of the rarer Lucky Boxes scattered about Alaria, hidden in out-of-the-way areas.

    Notes

    • In the source code, these machines are referred to as "Gacha Machines" - which refers to the gashapon toy vending model that took off in Japan in the 2010s, eventually spanning the globe (as "blind box" or "random mystery" toys), and even spreading into the virtual world. Players spend virtual currency on these Gacha games to receive random in-game loot. It's only a coincidence that it sounds like "Gotcha!".
    • All of the Lucky Boxes have a chance to drop keys and batteries, but each box colour drops other items as well, from hats, to hair, to clothing. Each box has a very small chance to drop the next rarest box in the list (Blue can drop Pink, Pink can drop Green, etc). Black is the rarest, however and only drops town and building decorations in addition to the more common keys and batteries.
