The Tailor is one of many Buildings that can be placed in the Apprentice's Towns. It's a one-story business with a greatly vaulted ceiling that somewhat resembles a top hat from the outside. It has a large button for the door, a large wooden spool to each side of the door, and the handle is a giant golden needle.
The inside is a rather tiny display room showing off items for sale that the Apprentice can actually buy for 
, and there are five different dressing rooms, three of which are blocked by two curtains. The center is dominated by a full-length, though non-functional, mirror. On the displays around the shop there are three stands with clothing pieces (both tops and bottoms), there are three stands with hats, and finally, three stands with eyewear. These stands only appear if the shop is staffed, and the available stock will refresh and change randomly every day. Around the shop, there are also a few active hotspots that generate humourous messages or Myora.
The Tailor can have up to two Residents as workers, but only one slot is unlocked at first. The Tailor is not available at the start and the blueprint must be unlocked by placing 6 Tree plots and 6 Large Tree plots in any Town(s).
The Tailor can be customised in a number of ways. The roof, walls and skirting can each be painted with various Wallpapers. In the second screenshot in the infobox, the roof is red, the walls are green and the skirting is blue. (Note that the "roof" in this case is actually the awning in the middle of the building). There are also four Token slots to fill. The roof decoration slot is not displaying properly as of January 2022, but there are two decoration items that should go there once it is fixed: A button decoration and a thread decoration.
