The Temple is one of many Buildings that can be placed in the Apprentice's Towns. It's a multi-level building, with two sets of stairs going up, one to a landing and the other to the top tier of the building, where an open-sided pagoda-like temple is found. There are small pools of water flanking the stairs on the middle level. The center of the temple has a golden ark-like altar, topped with a tall spike.
There are two counters on the outer edge of the top tier, with items the Apprentice can purchase: a random assortment of 4 different Resident Tokens, which can include anything from name changes to skill modifiers to complete skill overhauls. These products only appear if the shop is staffed, and the available stock will refresh and change randomly every day. Around the Temple, there are also a couple of active hotspots that generate interesting messages.
The Temple can have up to four Residents as workers, but only one slot is unlocked at first. The Temple blueprint is not available at the start, and won't even show up until the Plains District is unlocked, at which point, the blueprint will show up in the Goals listing. To unlock the blueprint, the Apprentice must place the Plains District Song Fragment in the Treeheart Chamber.
The Temple can be customized by painting the roof, walls and skirting with various Wallpapers. In the second screenshot in the infobox, the roof is red, the walls are blue and the skirting is green. Note that the skirting here is the middle section instead of the bottom. There are four Token slots to fill to modify other building properties.
