Grow Song of The Evertree Wiki

A Point of Interest refers to any dynamically-spawned scenery on a World other than its Terrain Features; Flora in the form of Grass, Flowers, Shrubs, and Trees; Fauna in the form of Critters, Fish, and Insects; Boulders and small Rocks; or — while the World is still being tended towards blooming — Stinkweeds, Withering grass, detritus, and seed plots in need of attention from the Apprentice's Tools.

There are three categories of Points of Interest: Inert Biome-specific, Interactive Biome-specific, and Interactive non-Biome-specific. (There are no known Points of Interest which may appear in any Biome but are inert, aside from the barrels and stool of the Airship Shop on days when the shop is closed in that location.)

    Interactive non-Biome-specific Points of Interest

Some elements — Bouncy Mushrooms, Bumbershooters, Caves, Chests, and Puzzles — which can appear randomly on Worlds as Points of Interest can also be found in Alaria, but placement of such elements is not randomized in Alaria.

    • Airship Shop (on random days; other days only the stool and barrels are present)
    • Bouncy Mushrooms (always pink with blue spots)
    • Bumbershooters, floating air vortexes which propel the Apprentice upward (not to be confused with Tooter Shooters)
    • Caves (always as a roughly cube-shaped bedrock extrusion with an opening on one side; bigger on the inside)
    • Chests, including Chests which require expenditure of Alchemical Batteries
    • Gnome Houses
    • Puzzles

Note that, counterintuitively, Bumbershooters provide maximum upward trajectory and velocity when stepped into rather than being jumped into; it is possible to steer to some degree once launched.
